Some questions and answers about Enviro-Creation in photoshop updates

What is it?

Enviro-creation is a way in which we harness the power of local or national communities or stakeholders by:
(1) Putting communities in the centre of the decision making process
(2) Empowering them to create the environment that they want to live and take part in

(3) Democratically involving them in the decision making process photoshop updates

(4) Allowing them to work together with experts, clients and institutions to make a better world

(5) Re-leasing people's thoughts, concerns and creativity photoshop updates

(6) Re-connecting the bridge between the pubic and institutions photoshop updates

Ultimately allowing communities to have a say in what their environment should look and feel like

Is it just about environmental issues?

Yes it could be! Environmental and green issues are important to a lot of people - so therefore getting people involved in Green issues could be important. However, the idea of Enviro-Creation is actually much bigger than this - this is about people's worlds: it is about things that they see, touch, feel: things that they want to change - it is about involving them in a process so that they change their world: this could be about sustainability, it could be about environment, it could be about crime, it could be about the health service, it could be about education, it could be about media and broadcasting...the issues will vary but the outcome remains the same to create a positive environment for themselves, others and ultimately the world.

Who is it aimed at?

A whole raft of companies could benefit: Some suggested organisations would include the Government, local government, Media companies, Charities, Police departments, NHS, trade unions and political parties. However, corporate companies with social policies could also benefit as they could use their consumer communities to help build their social policy.

What kind of projects?

Anything from designing a local park or shopping centre through to communications development through to public policy or even designing a public TV station..the range of project types are endless...however the outcomes are the same: people/the public/communities are participating in helping to create a better world.

How is it done?

We use the principles of CO-Creation: We utilise and enhance the power of the Web 2.0, we set up and tap communities both online and offline, we use the democratic foundations of crowd sourcing and unleash the creativity of workshops.

What is the start point?

We start by looking at the problem and then creating communities around it. These communities can either come from our own established communities(for more details contact us) or they can and often are bespoke communities set up directly for a client.

Can you always set up a community?

Yes! People like forming groups - so because of this communities can always be found.

How do you find them?

In order to find them we use a mixture of online and offline recruitment techniques

What do people do?

Once the communities are established we get them to do a whole range of things, from developing ideas, debating ideas, voting on ideas, commenting on ideas through to specific tasks such as writing diaries, making films, creating blogs.

How many people are involved

A basic community would consist of a minimum of 40 people but a more advanced community could go up to several hundred

Is it just online?

No! It just depends on the project, sometimes it is all online, sometimes it is a mixture of online and offline and occasionally it is all offline.

What is the role of the client?

Unlike traditional research where the client tends to take a back seat here the client is actively involved in the process and actively interacts with the communities.

Do we use incentives?

Yes we do because we want normal people not just do gooders. We want normal people who lead busy lives to have a say in their environment

What is the difference between research and Enviro?

There is a massive difference: research just tells you answers to questions that are asked. Research(or bad research) is all about command and control: Enviro creation is different respondents generate what they want from their environment, they show you what they want and they suggest to you how you might get there.

Costs can range but as general rule a basic Enviro-Creation project would cost £35,000 whilst a more advaned project could go up to £120,000
